I highly recommend Blick named products for paint and brushes. Their supplies have never let me down. The difference in a great painting that stays fresh and one that peels and chips is the quality of the paint. Do not settle for another paint if you are thinking of using Tempera. I have tried other brands and it has been disastrous!
About Acrylic Paintings: I will be writing about the acrylic application of window paint soon, but I have not used this medium in my artwork. I am still exploring its potential. The technique is basically applying a white base coat of interior flat paint in the outline of the painting first then filling all the details in with acrylic colors. The technique requires a bit more time and effort and is necessary for damp climates. All layers MUST dry before the details may be completed.

The Essential Window Painting Guide documents my experience with the art technique and leads you step by step through what a beginner needs to know about applying paint to clean window glass for decoration. Window painting is a lot of fun and it can be a great way to express your creative side, but the lettering may drive you mad unless you get a few pointers from the experts. I personally need this because my lettering can be a little rough at times. The better your lettering is the more fun you will have. I painfully sketch out my greetings in China markers before I touch paint to the glass. It is the most difficult part of the artwork that I do.
The better you plan out the tools and supplies, the better your skills get and the more intricate your paintings will get. The results will be satisfactory and the delight you feel in creating this art will leave a lasting impression on not only you but those that view it long after you put the brushes and supplies away...
